Branding Strategy and Billboard Campaign
The Challenge
Chris and Stephanie Somers, successful realtors in Philadelphia, are our favorite Before and After case. At the initial meeting, they identified two goals: to find a way to differentiate themselves; and to gain access to a higher-end segment of the real estate market. As a case in point, their billboard at that time reflected a cookie cutter real estate marketing approach and not what was unique about them as a real estate team.
The Process
First, we created a brand concept that strongly reflects the Somers' personalities and way of doing business. The tagline, Protecting and Growing Your Wealth, was created to convey their client-focused approach and solid real estate experience. We recommended that they have their company photo retaken to show them as the young, urban professionals they want to target.
The branding was then put into play with the creation of their logo with rich, bold colors and crisp typeface. We carried that consistent look and feel across their business card, letterhead and client mailers.
The new brand was launched with a two-phase billboard campaign in 2007. The first billboard came out with a teaser line. Six weeks later, we launched the second phase with the answer - driving everyone to their newly-developed web site.

The Outcome
The number of hits was substantial and their popularity ever-increasing!
This year, we decided to launch a simple, but very effective message: Outstanding! We back this statement with a series of client testimonials shown right on the home page of their web site.
From a couple who felt slightly nervous about the branding strategy we wanted to launch, Chris and Stephanie couldn't be happier about the results. They now feel strongly positive about the benefits of this year's campaign and have decided to keep it until 2009!
